Senior Mechanical Engineer (Rotating / Packaged equipment)

The Job Position of Senior Mechanical Engineer covers the following main functions:
2.1 Execution of all Mechanical Engineering activities on Projects (GTG + HRSG, Compressors, BFW pumps, Packages).
2.2 Development of Mechanical Engineering studies and activities in all Projects.
2.3 Provide technical assistance to Client.
2.4 Resolution of all technical issues inside the department in adherence to project procedures and design requirements.
2.5 Interface with other disciplines and engineering managers in order to agree and develop common design philosophies and documents.
Job duties
In order to execute the assigned duties Senior Mechanical Engineer is obliged to:
3.1 Develop mechanical engineering activities based on the newest scientific and technical achievement, lesson learned from past engineering and construction projects.
3.2. Perform assignments and tasks in order to identify project decisions.
3.3. Participate in collecting basic data for project, solving technical issues on assigned facilities, support Company during construction activities.
3.4. Coordinate the mechanical engineers working on the Projects and cooperate with other department Senior Engineers in order to arrive to a common decision.
3.5. Provide compliance of technical documentation with national and international standards (API, ASME, NACE), Company standards and best engineering practices.
3.6. Execute technical supervision of construction activities and reply to site queries
3.7 Managing market investigation with vendors for techno-economic evaluations (Proposals review)
3.8 Execute mechanical calculations (i.e. equipment sizing according to international standards).
3.9 Give support for multidisciplinary activities (e.g. plot plans review, specification for package, P&IDs mechanization).
3.10 Take part in preparation of the mechanical documentation (i.e. functional and technical specifications, mechanical data sheets, material requisitions and equipment list, market investigation reports, project, project feasibility report etc.)
3.11 Support to Client during the equipment purchasing phase (i.e. technical bids evaluation, post-bid vendor follow-up).
