● Project Duration: 12 months, renewable
● Rotation Schedule: 90 days on / 15 days off
● Work Hours: 8 hours per day, 6 days a week
Role Summary
The HSE Manager will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and
environmental compliance during the commissioning phase of the steel plant. The role involves close
collaboration with the commissioning team, monitoring site activities, identifying potential risks, and
implementing effective mitigation strategies. The HSE Manager must ensure that all operations comply
with local and international HSE standards, as well as project-specific guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
● Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures tailored for the commissioning phase.
● Conduct risk assessments and ensure that safety measures are in place.
● Train and oversee staff on HSE best practices and regulatory requirements.
● Monitor and report on the implementation of safety measures and environmental compliance.
● Investigate any incidents or near-misses, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
● Conduct regular HSE audits, inspections, and safety drills.
● Liaise with local authorities and ensure compliance with Uzbekistan's HSE regulations.
● Prepare detailed reports on HSE performance and maintain thorough documentation.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering,
or related field.
● Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in industrial or commissioning
projects.
● Comprehensive knowledge of HSE standards, regulations, and best practices.
● Proficiency in managing HSE aspects in high-risk industries, such as steel or construction.
● Experience working in CIS countries or similar environments is an advantage.
● Russian language preferred.
