HSE Manager – Steel Plant Project (Germany)
Location: Salzgitter, Germany
Project Duration: Initial 6-month contract (extendable)
Work Schedule: 10 hours per day, 6 days per week

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled HSE Supervisor to support a major steel plant project in Northern Germany. The professional will be responsible for implementing and managing all Health, Safety, and Environmental practices on-site, with a focus on compliance with German HSE legislation.
⚠️ In-depth knowledge of German Health & Safety regulations is a mandatory requirement. Proficiency in the German language is considered a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure full compliance with local (German) HSE regulations and international safety standards.
Monitor daily operations and enforce safety practices within the steel plant environment.
Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and audits.
Train site personnel and contractors on HSE procedures and emergency response.
Report and investigate any incidents, ensuring implementation of corrective actions.
Liaise with local authorities and project stakeholders on safety-related matters.
Foster a strong HSE culture throughout the site.
Requirements:
Proven HSE supervision experience in heavy industry or steel/metal plant environments.
Mandatory: Solid understanding of German Health & Safety legislation.
Preferred: Proficiency in the German language (spoken and written).
Fluency in English, Italian is a plus
Recognized HSE certifications (NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).
Educational background in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related field.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Experience working in multicultural and international environments.
