We are currently seeking a Project Planner for one of our key client initiatives in Europe, based in Austria. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in infrastructure planning, particularly in chemical or power plant construction, and will play a crucial role in integrating all project disciplines into a unified project schedule.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain project life cycle and integrated schedules using Primavera P6
Translate scoping and strategy documents into detailed master project schedules
Coordinate with cross-functional project teams (engineering, vendors, production, construction) to establish activity definitions that support effective monitoring and control
Organize and lead planning/co-ordination meetings to collect project data and ensure alignment across disciplines
Monitor schedule performance, assess risks and develop mitigation and recovery strategies to support project milestones
Conduct earned value analysis, manpower/material tracking, and resource-loading evaluations as needed
Generate progress reports and management presentations to support internal and client-facing updates
Develop scheduling requirements and milestone definitions for contract bid packages
Scope coverage may include: concept development, ride/show design, production and installation, test and adjust, show programming, and building construction depending on project scale
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering – Mandatory
Experience in the infrastructure sector – preference given to chemical or power plant construction
Sound understanding of engineering systems, industry terminology, and steelmaking plant processes
Fluency in both German and English (minimum B2 level)
Ability to read and develop detailed Gantt charts and schedule reports
Proficient in Primavera P6, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
Strong written and verbal communication skills for specification development and stakeholder reporting
Demonstrated skills in strategic planning, negotiation, and risk management
Strong organizational and time management capabilities in high-pressure environments
Ability to lead, collaborate, and drive decision-making across diverse teams
Willingness to relocate abroad for the project duration
Valid driver's license required
