Project Overview

The Hail & Ghasha Project is a major development integrating innovative decarbonization technologies, including:

  • Carbon capture (1.5 million tonnes/year of CO₂)

  • Low-carbon hydrogen production to reduce fuel gas usage and emissions

  • Use of clean power from nuclear and renewable sources


Role Summary

The Static Equipment Supervisor will oversee all subcontractor activities related to static equipment installation and ensure that all construction works comply with schedules, project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements. The role reports directly to the Construction Manager.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review supplier material and technical documentation delivery schedules to ensure alignment with construction schedules and contractual commitments.

  • Review, control, and approve subcontractor Method Statements before work commences and ensure their correct implementation on-site.

  • Enforce HSE procedures and standards for static equipment and actively participate in on-site HSE activities as per the Site HSE Plan.

  • Monitor work progress to ensure schedule adherence, and take action to recover delays.

  • Verify that subcontractor resources (equipment and manpower) meet requirements and that works comply with design documents, safety regulations, and quality standards.

  • Conduct inspections and sign off on necessary certificates as per the Site Inspection Plan.

  • Maintain and coordinate the Non-Conformity Register for each subcontractor, ensuring timely resolution.

  • Identify and rectify design errors where possible or escalate to the Site Engineer for necessary changes.

  • Review and approve subcontractor work progress status sheets.

  • Manage vendor specialists on-site.

  • Support the Contract Manager/Engineer in preparing subcontract amendments, evaluating claims, and defining new prices when necessary.
