We are currently supporting Saipem in the recruitment of an experienced Electrical Maintenance Instructor to support commissioning activities on an onshore project located in Angola.
The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering classroom and field-based training to maintenance personnel, ensuring safe operation, inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems in line with project procedures, HSE standards, and OEM requirements.
Deliver classroom and on-the-job training on electrical maintenance activities
Train local and site maintenance teams during pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up phases
Explain electrical systems, equipment operation, and maintenance procedures
Provide technical guidance on LV/MV systems, motors, switchgear, transformers, and UPS systems
Support commissioning teams with troubleshooting and technical assistance
Ensure training activities comply with Saipem standards, HSE rules, and project specifications
Prepare and update training materials, manuals, and reports
Assess traineesβ competencies and provide structured feedback to site management
Proven experience as Electrical Maintenance Instructor or Senior Electrical Maintenance Technician
Strong background in commissioning and start-up activities
Experience on Oil & Gas onshore projects
Solid knowledge of LV/MV electrical systems and rotating equipment
Familiarity with testing and commissioning tools (megger, multimeter, protection relays testing)
Ability to work in a multicultural and international environment
Good command of English (spoken and written)
Availability to start ASAP
