Electrical Superintendent

For a major Desalination Project in Dakhla, Morocco, currently in the testing and commissioning phase, we are looking for an experienced Electrical Superintendent to provide full-time site support in the analysis and resolution of electrical grid issues and to coordinate the safe restart and performance testing of the plant.

Main responsibilities:

• Provide technical supervision and support during testing and commissioning activities of the desalination plant;
• Investigate and analyze electrical grid issues, particularly those potentially related to the upstream wind farm connected to the same network;
• Support the site team in identifying the root causes of electrical disturbances, failures and equipment damage;
• Coordinate electrical troubleshooting activities and the safe restoration and restart of affected systems;
• Supervise and support electrical testing, inspections and commissioning activities;
• Assist the site team during plant performance tests aimed at achieving COD (Commercial Operation Date);
• Coordinate closely with the engineering team, which will provide continuous remote support and periodic on-site assistance;
• Monitor technical issues and provide clear reporting and recommendations to the project team;
• Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with project procedures, applicable technical standards and HSE requirements.

Requirements:

• Degree or technical diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline;
• Extensive experience as Electrical Superintendent, Electrical Commissioning Superintendent or Senior Electrical Supervisor on large industrial or energy projects;
• Strong background in electrical systems, grid-related issues, troubleshooting and commissioning activities;
• Previous experience on Desalination, Power Generation, Renewable Energy, Wind Energy, Utilities or large industrial plants is highly preferred;
• Proven ability to analyze complex electrical problems and coordinate corrective actions in an operational or commissioning environment;
• Experience with plant start-up, performance testing and commissioning up to COD is considered a strong advantage;
• Strong leadership, coordination and problem-solving skills;
• Good command of English; additional languages are considered an advantage;
• Availability to work full-time on site in Dakhla, Morocco;
• Initial assignment of approximately 2 months, with possibility of extension;
• Availability to mobilize at short notice is highly preferred.
