We are currently supporting Saipem in the recruitment of an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Instructor to join a commissioning project based in Angola.
The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering technical training and on-the-job instruction to maintenance personnel, ensuring that mechanical systems are operated and maintained in accordance with project procedures, safety standards, and OEM guidelines.
Deliver classroom and field-based training on mechanical maintenance activities
Train local and site maintenance teams during commissioning and start-up phases
Explain mechanical systems, equipment operation, and maintenance procedures
Support commissioning teams with technical guidance and troubleshooting
Ensure training activities comply with Saipem standards, HSE rules, and project specifications
Prepare and update training materials, manuals, and reports
Assess traineesβ competencies and provide feedback to site management
Proven experience as Mechanical Maintenance Instructor or Senior Mechanical Maintenance Technician
Strong background in commissioning and start-up activities
Experience on Oil & Gas onshore projects
Solid knowledge of mechanical equipment (rotating & static)
Ability to work in an international, multicultural environment
Good command of English (spoken and written)
Availability to start ASAP
International assignment with a major EPC contractor
Onshore camp accommodation provided
Rotation schedule (60/15)
